A Certain Sense of Propriety

Director: Marco Iacobacci
What do fried chicken, a pool boy and a cuckold have to do with each other.... everything. My Bio: I'm a graduate of Concordia Universities Communication department. I've been working in the film and television industry for the last seven years in a number of capacities. I find that film is the only way that I have ever been able to properly express myself as well as the only field that I have ever wanted to work in. Watching ones ideas come to life is perhaps one of the most fulfilling activities anyone could ever take part in. I've always viewed the world through the lens of a camera, sometimes to the extent of losing my grip on reality, but anyone that shares this passion can admit to this happening. In my career I've worked on everything from children's television shows to low budget slasher films, and i find that i go into each one looking for new challenges and ways to surmount what most people would say is the impossible. Whether it is writing, directing, editing, or producing ever aspect of this industry fascinates me. Making the Film: It was really interesting to try and build a concept around a strangers words. Normally I have always been party to the development and writing process and in doing so have had an emotional connection to the piece as well as a strong sense of direction. With this challenge there was none of that and i found that it was a very enjoyable experience. Perhaps the most challenging aspect of the VPC was finding actors that would be able to get across the spin that i took on the script. Filming as usual was done in a very guerrilla manner with little or no equipment over the coarse of the day. In my experience I have found that to much planning will often lead to even more problems in the long run, spontaneity is the key. The only real problem I encountered was the logistics of filming in a small two door car, which was the only available transport for the shoot, it got incredible hot in the trunk, as one of my principals can vouch for, and it didn't lend very well to camera movement. All in all it went of without a hitch and we were able to shoot and edit in roughly 24hrs. The best part of the filming experience was getting to work with friends that have always shown an interest in film and acting but due to one reason or another have never been able to work with me on my projects. -Marco Iacobacci Contact Info: Phone #: 514-518-1321 Email: ploco13@hotmail.com Company Name: Show the Goat Productions
